| Tomb of St. Gregory in St. Peters, Rome |
Today's feast honors an early leader of the Church, Pope, and monk. His love of music fostered our great GREGORIAN CHANT. Gregory lived in the simplicity of a monk throughout his life. In the late 6th century and early 7th century, this saint contributed greatly to the liturgy and spirit of the Church all over the world.
St. Gregory, guide our Church in these days of Liturgical changes. Help us all to follow the new directives, now, in this, the 21st century.
